Harnessing Montreal’s tradition of skilled leather craftsmanship, RUDSAK’s roots are in leatherwork. Our leathers are superior grades of calf and lambskin, and each product undergoes a unique tanning process, amplifying each item’s appearance. RUDSAK embraces artisanal construction embellished with meticulously composed hardware.
Lambskin leather is valued for its soft grain skin, and smooth hand feel. The thin, lightweight characteristic of this leather makes it adaptable to many kinds of construction. This gently tanned leather is often used for small leather goods, handbags and jackets.
The vegetable-tanned leather is a lightweight lambskin leather with a fine grain. Known for its soft texture, it differs from other luxurious leathers, which in comparison have a more visible grain. Real, full grain, aniline leather is soaked in vegetable tannins, giving it its rich and beautiful vibrancy.
Our pebble, heavy pebble and floater leather are characterized by their durability and by their natural gros grain, brought out by a tumbling process. The result is a full grain skin, semi-vegetable and aniline plus leather.
Nappa is calfskin leather that has undergone a tanning process that gives the leather a soft hand feel and a natural aspect. It is full grain and imbued in an aniline plus finish that prevents it from bleeding out. Mainly used for bags and accessories, it owes its great versatility to its suppleness.
Structured cow leather is Nappa leather, unblemished and preserved in all its thickness. A very thin and light coat of finish has been applied to conserve its natural aspects. It’s a high quality and inimitable leather, used most often in RUDSAK’s belts and handbag straps.
